The Grange in Foster offers couples, families and groups of up to 8 people the comfort and grandeur of a beautifully-restored late-19th-century Australian country house, complete with views of Wilsons Promontory.

With 4 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms, The Grange is set in lush gardens amid 20 acres of grazing land, and is located only a few minutes' drive from Foster, the main township of the Prom district.

The Grange has its own in-ground chlorinated saltwater swimming pool and a large outdoor spa beside shady verandahs and gardens filled with lush ferns and flowering plants, an orchard and even an outdoor amphitheatre, and is an ideal place to while away a summer afternoon.

The Grange's country-style kitchen is a cook's dream, with a Coonara wood heater with all firewood supplied, an electric stove, a microwave oven, a large refrigerator, a dishwasher, a great choice of appliances, and plenty of crockery, cutlery, glassware, utensils and serving ware to use.

The spacious sitting and dining area adjoins the kitchen and features comfortable leather sofas, a chaise longue, a flat screen television and DVD and CD player and a refectory-style table and benches.

The Grange has beautiful stained-glass leadlight windows, 11' 6" pressed steel and baltic pine ceilings, elaborate cornices, deep skirting boards, textured wallpapers and patterned friezes throughout and is filled with antique furniture.

The formal lounge room features a piano that guests are welcome to play.

The Grange has four bedrooms, with all bed linen and bath towels supplied. Please bring your own pool and beach towels

The master bedroom is enormous and has a queen-size bed, a writing desk and a painting of The Grange from an earlier period.

The main bathroom has a large cast-iron bath, a basin and toilet, and a self-closing and -locking door leading out to the pool area

Two of the bedrooms have double beds and self-closing and -locking french doors to the pool area.

The fourth bedroom has two single beds and a view through a three-panelled stained glass window to the front garden of The Grange

The Grange has a Weber gas barbecue and a sun-drenched outdoor sitting area near the pool, as well as a mud-brick cubby house, a sandpit, winding brick walls and pathways, return verandahs to explore and your own panorama of the Prom.

The Grange is the perfect base from which to see the best that South Gippsland has to offer, such as fishing and windsurfing at Shallow Inlet, hiking in Wilsons Promontory National Park, exploring the picturesque townships of Foster, Fish Creek, Port Franklin, Toora and Walkerville, and experiencing the beauty of the Strzelecki Ranges.

The Grange Tariff Bookings are for the sole use of the property for up to 8 people. All Bed Linen & Bath Towels Supplied Please Note: Tariffs listed are for 4 people sharing 2 bedrooms, for extra people add $20.00 per person per night, children under 2 are not charged. This does not apply for Christmas & January School Holidays when a flat rate is charged for up to 8 people.

Cancellations earlier than two weeks prior to arrival - Full refund less 10% cancellation fee of the total. Cancellations within two weeks of arrival will be refunded only if we are able to refill all the period booked, 10% fee of the total then applies. No refunds for early departure or non-arrivals.
