Lanes Beach House at Walkerville North offers families and groups of up to 8 people a wonderful dress circle view across the waters of Waratah Bay towards the peaks of Wilsons Promontory, and only a minute or two's walk to the beach.

Set out over two stories, Lanes Beach House is ideally located for a seaside holiday in the tranquil community of Walkerville, once the centre of a bustling lime burning industry that produced mortar for Melbourne's fine stone heritage buildings.

Sit out on the elevated front deck with a meal or a book, or watch the world go by with its ever-changing sea and sky.

Native birds such as kookaburras and rosellas are frequent visitors to Walkerville North, and they will often sit on the deck rails to see who has come to visit.

Lanes Beach House offers undercover parking for two cars at the rear of the house, along with native gardens and an open lawn area that's ideal for games and for relaxing.

Step through the main ground floor door and you will discover Lanes' bright and open interior with polished timber floors in the main living areas, and plenty of interesting and colourful decorative touches throughout the Beach House.

The entrance hall also features a compact powder room with a toilet and hand basin.

Lanes Beach House features two spacious sitting areas, all with great sea views from large picture windows. Sliding glass doors give access to the front deck with its outdoor furniture and gas barbecue.

There is a colour television and a DVD player, along with lots of books and games, and original artworks.

A reverse-cycle air-conditioner keeps Lanes Beach House cool in summer and cosy during the cooler months of the year.

The dining area has a big timber table with chairs for 8, right next to the kitchen at one end and a wide window overlooking the sea at the other.

The fully-equipped kitchen has an electric hob and oven, a dishwasher, a large refrigerator, a microwave and a comprehensive selection of crockery, cutlery, glassware, utensils and appliances.

Tea towels, sink and dishwasher detergent and sponges are supplied.

Lanes Beach House comfortably accommodates up to 8 people in 3 bedrooms, with covered doonas and pillows, mattress protectors and extra blankets provided. Please bring your own top and bottom sheets, and your own bath and beach towels.

The ground floor bedroom is furnished with a double bed with an electric blanket, and two single beds in the form of bunks.

Up the stairs is a light-filled gallery with its own dramatic view of the sea opposite a long, upholstered settee with cushions galore.

The master bedroom has a queen bed, two rattan easy chairs and windows facing in two directions, one looking along the coastline and the other straight out to sea.

The queen-sized bed is fitted with an electric blanket.

The second upstairs bedroom has two single beds, one with a reading light and a bedside table.

The upstairs bathroom has a polished timber vanity unit, a full size bath with a shower over and a toilet.

A hairdryer is also provided for guests' use.

The laundry has an automatic washing machine, an iron and board, and its own external door leading to a Hills hoist and pegs outside.

Lanes Beach House is ideal as a base to see the best that South Gippsland has to offer. Explore the historic lime kilns at Walkerville South, fish and windsurf at Shallow Inlet, hike in Wilsons Promontory National Park, visit the picturesque townships of Foster, Fish Creek, Port Franklin and Toora, and experience the grandeur of the Strzelecki Ranges.
