The picturesque township of Fish Creek was originally founded to serve district farmers in the 1880s.

One of Fish Creek's famous features is the remarkable Daliesque mullet balancing in a seemingly precarious manner on the top of local 1930s-style pub.

Fish Creek is also the home of the groovy Flying Cow Café, Nixon Nax Antiques and Collectables in the former ANZ bank building, a quaint secondhand bookshop known as the Bull’n’Book, and Prom View Nursery, Gallery and Outdoor Centre .

Fishy Creek, known locally as Fishy, is a charming country town with a very strong community sprit.

The people of Fish Creek and surrounding areas take a lot of pride in their township with  awards recently coming their way in Victoria's Tidy Towns competition.

Fish Creek is located along the route to Wilsons Promontory, Sandy Point and Waratah Bay.

Fish Creek offers visitors a fine picnic area with a timber pavilion and barbecue facilities, a playground and trailer and caravan parking.

Many fine sports people originated from this township and the main sporting facility, the Terrill Park Reserve, boasts the only turf cricket wicket in South Gippsland.
