Binyara Coastal Retreat is sheltered within natural bush between Walkerville South and Bear Gully.
The house accommodates up to 12 people, and boasts spectacular views of the ocean and Wilsons Promontory. Many equally glorious panoramas are waiting for you to discover as you explore the private walks that wend their way throughout Binyara's 160 acres of pasture and coastal forest.

The house is extremely private, making it a great experience for families or groups of friends. There are 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms available on request, sleeping up to12 people. Included are a sauna and spa. The house is open and full of light, with views from every corner of Waratah Bay, Wilsons Promontory's mountains and the islands of Bass Strait.

Your only neighbours at Binyara Coastal Retreat will be the wildlife, including possums, kangaroos, koalas, wombats, echidnas, rosellas, kookaburras, deer and more, who often appear in sight from the house.

This is a magic spot to get away from it all and a great base from which to explore the region, including Walkerville, Cape Liptrap, Waratah Bay, Sandy Point and Wilsons Prom.
Bear Gully beach is only 1 km away with one of Victoria’s best walks heading back to Walkerville South starting from there. In fact search “Cape Liptrap” on the Parks Victoria website at www.parkweb.vic.gov.au and you may be lucky enough to book a Rock Pool Ramble in Cape Liptrap Coastal Park during the summer.
This is a walk that begins in the early evening at Bear Gully, and is led by a Marine Ranger who will take you for a close look at marine plants and animals found on local rock platforms. Find out how unique these intertidal creatures really are!

The “Magic Beach” at Walkerville South has been nominated as one of Victoria's best beach and is only 3 km away from Binyara. This very sheltered beach is out of the wind and is perfect for swimming, canoeing, water skiing, diving, fishing and much more.

Binyara Coastal Retreat has a large open-plan kitchen and living area with windows all around looking over the Prom, Bass Strait, grazing cattle, and natural bush and wildlife.
Doors spill out onto a large lawn and wide open spaces, where you can walk, ride a bike or just enjoy the solitude.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils, along with a stove and oven, appliances such as a toaster and kettle, a dishwasher, microwave, a large refrigerator and wonderful views.
There are 2 colour televisions, DVD and CD players, and a pot belly wood fire, with firewood supplied during winter.
The 5 bedrooms, including 2 queen rooms, 2 rooms with 2 single beds and 1 room with 4 single beds in the form of 2 sets of bunks, are served by 3 bathrooms.
The laundry has an automatic washing machine and trough.

Binyara Coastal Retreat is located on Bear Gully Rd just 3 km from Walkerville South, 185 km south-east of Melbourne, approximately 2 hours' drive. It is one of the southernmost properties on the Australian mainland, so the air is bracingly clean as it comes from Bass Strait and below.

All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars. Minimum stay three nights. Half deposit is required upon booking. Final payment is due seven days prior to arrival. Cancellations earlier than 8 weeks prior to arrival will receive a full refund less 10% of the total. Cancellations or change of dates within 8 weeks of arrival will be charged 50% of the total. If we are able to refill all the period cancelled/changed, 10% of the total applies. No refunds for early departure or non-arrivals or cancellations within 2 weeks of arrival. Please Note: A $500.00 security surcharge is required in addition to the applicable weekend and mid-week tariffs, and a $1000.00 security surcharge is required for the weekly tariff, and will be processed with your final payment one week prior to your arrival date. This surcharge is refundable within 5 working days, subject to a satisfactory inspection by the owners of this property after guests' departure.
